Mindfulness for Young Children


"Just Breathe" is a beautiful visual that can be used with early childhood aged children to encourage calmness and the importance of slowing the body for self-regulation.  The video encourages the processes of slow breaths and provides multiple opportunties for children to practice breathing.  In a section that feels beyond her years, a child explains what happens to the brain when it experiences a strong feeling and how important breathing can be to bringing the brain back to a state of calm.
